What a year we had with the now Mr. & Mrs. El Moussa! When we (Carrie here, and designer was Gia!) had our initial conversation with them we had no idea their wedding would also lead to planning their engagement party, Heather’s bridal shower and Tarek’s 40th birthday. What a BLESSING to have been a part of some huge milestones in their life. For each event they fully trusted us with every detail and we couldn’t be more thankful for that. They (with help of their AMAZING assistant, Alicia) would give us an overall vibe, aesthetic and cuisine thoughts and we would run with it! If you don’t already know, they are HUGE foodies so it was so fun to try and work with the chef to create something that would really impress them. We also really learned a lot which was so fun! Tarek is gluten free and Heather is vegan so you can imagine coming up with dishes wasn’t the easiest task but each time they were beyond happy and ate/drank to their hearts content! I am now a forever skinny Casamigos margarita with a salt and tajin rim gal thanks to Heather! Now… as for the wedding design, originally they wanted a sexy reception that was a lot of black and a bold pop of fuchsia but as you saw on the Big I Do, about a month prior to the wedding, they decided to change it all and keep it timeless. Black and white while keeping the cocktail reception sexy and fun! We loved the outcome and with the help of Square Root Designs, it came out absolutely breathtaking! The overall wedding day was a dream. The most meaningful vows (not a dry eye!), watching their guests give warm hugs after a year of uncertainty, their children looking at them with endearment in every moment and in all, just watching two amazing people become one was just something we will forever treasure. Tarek & Heather, thank you for being full of gratitude and the most genuine and caring couple!
