Sara and Long are a couple with a love for pushing design boundaries. I (Caroline) had the pleasure of helping them design and execute their wedding at VEA Newport Beach, and their wedding was nothing short of spectacular. As their designer and planner, I was thrilled to work with such a fun-loving pair who had a clear vision for a modern, black and white celebration that defied convention.
The couple’s love for all things contemporary and daring was evident from the get-go. They embraced a “geometric” theme that allowed us to get creative with the design, starting with a show-stopping ceremony backdrop that set the tone for the entire celebration. Three Petals worked their magic and dreamt up unique floral pieces that perfectly complemented the geometric vibe. The reception space was a fun mix of modern elegance. The layout allowed for the creation of a separate dance “lounge,” exuding a swanky and cool atmosphere that perfectly matched Sara and Long’s lively personalities. The fully draped modern dinner space, on the other hand, felt intimate and stylish. Place settings were decked out and unique. The stacked plates and diagonal flatware on the plate was a subtle touch that showcased the couple’s commitment to making every element of their celebration unique. From the invitations to the printed menu, crafted by the talented Kate Wiseman, every piece aligned seamlessly with the sleek and stylish design. Ashley Rae Studio and White Rose Productions beautifully showcased the intricate details and the pure joy radiating between the newlyweds.
Cheers to a lifetime filled with happiness, laughter, and the kind of love that’s as bold and unforgettable as their wedding day. It was an absolute joy planning with this incredible couple, and their wedding will undoubtedly be one I’ll never forget.
