Some weddings are beautiful because of the details—but the most unforgettable ones are built on trust. Bri and Gary came to me with a vision for a modern, chic black-and-white celebration in Houston, and after reviewing the design board, they simply said, “we trust you.” From that moment on, it became something truly special.
Designing within low ceilings and smaller spaces pushed us creatively, but it ultimately led to one of the most magical transformations I’ve ever been part of. We leaned into a moody, candlelit ceremony that felt intimate and romantic, followed by a high-energy cocktail hour featuring a fully customized merch “store” for guests. The reception brought the drama in the best way—with a statement dance floor that quite literally lit up the night.
With Gary Owen being a well-known comedian, the entertainment was nothing short of incredible. From celebrity officiant Chad “Ochocinco” to unforgettable performances by Bun B, Terrance J, and Rocsi Diaz, every moment felt like a show-stopping experience.
But beyond the design, the details, and the unforgettable moments, what I’ll cherish most is the relationship that came from it. Somewhere along the way, this became more than just a wedding—it became a friendship. And saying goodbye at the end of it all was the hardest part.
