ABC Orange County March Social, Aventura Ocean Club



“When we were asked to put on the March ABC event, we were absolutely honored and thrilled. All our design and planning wheels were spinning immediately. We had just visited Aventura Ocean Club in Dana Point a few weeks prior and knew right away this location was exactly where we wanted to host our event. The view over the Dana Point harbor was effortlessly beautiful, with the sail boats gently moving along the ocean and seagulls chirping in the back ground. It just seemed like the perfect place to have all our industry friends gather for an evening of great food and enjoying each other’s company.” – Sam Wolf

“Since the venue for the ABC event was on the Dana Point Harbor, our inspiration immediately went to beach vibe, but instead of the typical “California beach theme” we wanted to go for a much richer and bolder feel, but still modern and upscale! Those ideas transpired into a Mediterranean beach theme with the deep blue colors of Santorini, Greece as our inspiration. We incorporated the bold blue hues to pop against the crisp white which really accented everything throughout. We strived to give guests the feeling that they were instantly teleported to a beach in Greece on beachside daybeds sipping sangria. All while being serenaded by an acoustic guitarist. All elements of which we had! Our goal was to not just make this an event, but an experience from the moment you walked up the steps to the time you left!” – Gia Melendez 

“I never really knew who exactly collaborates to put an event like this together and how much time it really takes. It is endless phone calls, emails, planning, trial and error, hearing no as an answer, getting ideas approved, having a backup and a double backup plan, and so much more. It really takes a village to put these events together. It’s a beautiful thing to have so many amazing vendors work together on the same team to make one planners vision come to life. We had an amazing team on board which really made this event even more enjoyable. We cannot thank everyone enough!” – Sam Wolf

“The hardest part was making sure that everything was cohesive, yet unique! We wanted to make sure that our vision transpired in real life, which we think we achieved!  If we were to change anything it would have been to add a few more vendors to make the overall experience even MORE unique. However, all in all we wouldn’t change a thing. Except for maybe to keep the party going ;)”  – Gia Melendez
