From the moment I met Sarah and Corben, I knew their wedding would be something truly special. They were such a joy to work with, and Sarah gave me complete design freedom, the greatest gift a planner could receive. Her only request was an “elegant rager” in black and white, and from there, we brought her vision to life at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in the most spectacular way.
The design was timeless yet modern, a chic black and white palette, lush florals by Eleven Eleven Productions, and glowing chandeliers that filled every space with warmth and romance. Sarah’s walk down the mirrored aisle surrounded by florals was pure magic, and as she and Corben shared their first kiss, white doves filled the sky in the most unforgettable moment.
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour at Club 19 with signature drinks, cozy lounges, and live saxophone music by Tyler Varnell before entering a breathtaking reception beneath a black truss structure with cascading chandeliers by Amber Productions. A mirrored bar, olive trees, and chic banquette seating created an atmosphere that was both luxurious and inviting, exactly the “elegant rager” Sarah envisioned.
One of the most emotional moments of the night was the first dance, sung beautifully by the groom’s incredibly talented sister while Tyler accompanied on piano. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Later, Tyler transitioned into his DJ set and kept the dance floor packed under the stars.
