This couple’s special day was so much more than a wedding. Maria spent over a year recovering in the hospital after a sever car crash and there was a time doctors told her she would never walk again. Ten years later, on a gorgeous day at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, it felt like a miracle to see her walk down the aisle toward the love of her life, Ryan!
Lush flowers in shades of white and blush lined the catwalk leading to a tall floral arch that overlooked the ocean. A traditional Hula dancer from Polynesian Luau was the perfect way for Maria to incorporate her Hawaiian roots into the ceremony, with live music adding just the right touch to set the romantic tone!
Next, cocktail hour. A champagne tower, upscale lounge furniture and a custom ice sculpture impressed guests and took the party to the next level!
We elevated The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom with draping and a custom extended dancefloor with the couple’s initials. Place settings were upgraded to gold flatware, gold marbled chargers, and customized acrylic names for each guest. Velvet banquette seating with crystal chandeliers was also added to give an elegant touch. One of the sweeter focal points was the custom cake made by Sweet Traders, featuring a hand-painted portrait of the couple. Unbelievable lace detail of the bride’s dress draped down each layer of the cake!
Maria is a dancer, so a choreographed first dance was a must! Everyone was in tears as the couple spun and swayed to You Are the Reason by Leona Lewis. But the party really began when Maria changed into a lace mini dress and white sneakers to hit the dance floor. Live music by American Events Network kept family and friends dancing all night long! I have such a soft spot in my heart for not only this couple, but their family too. They are one of those special families that are more than clients; now I call them dear friends!
