To kick off their unforgettable wedding weekend, M and S hosted a spectacular welcome party at Bella Vista Estate’s private butterfly gardens. It was the perfect way to greet their closest friends and family, setting the tone for a weekend of love, laughter, and luxury. Because their wedding was focused on romance and luxury, M and S wanted their welcome party to be fun, colorful, and lively. They chose a Tequila Sunrise theme, inspired by their mutual love of tequila. Guests were greeted with custom margaritas adorned with photos of the couple and walked down a giant, whimsical flower-lined walkway into the vibrant space.
The decor featured hot pink, neon orange, yellow, and other vivid sunrise hues. A 360-degree bar stood at the center of the event, complete with a handmade, custom-built bougainvilla tree by Layered Vintage as its focal point. Giant flowers were scattered throughout the butterfly gardens, creating an imaginative and energetic atmosphere.
The evening’s culinary offerings were as creative as the theme. Guests enjoyed interactive stations, including a tequila tasting experience, taco bars, an elote corn pasta wheel station, and other delicious elements by 24 Carrots Catering. A massive grazing table took center stage, brimming with colorful and fresh ingredients.
Cat Lauren elevated the party favors to new heights. Each guest received a custom wooden box containing a live-engraved bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila and handmade shot glasses—a keepsake that perfectly tied into the theme. Tyler Varnell brought the energy with his saxophone performances, delivered on an elevated round stage that ensured everyone could enjoy the show. Fun and colorful lounge vignettes invited guests to relax and mingle, while the music kept the dance floor buzzing throughout the night.
The welcome party was not only a celebration but a reflection of M and S’s playful and vibrant personalities. From the stunning decor to the incredible food and tequila-focused elements, every detail came together to create a joyous and unforgettable evening. Guests left the party energized and excited for the incredible wedding celebration to come.
