What’s the toughest part about wedding planning? Finding the perfect venue to start! When I started planning with Charlotte and John they had probably researched and toured over 15+ venues in Southern California with no luck in finding their dream venue. Their guest count was just under 100 so that wasn’t tricky but they wanted a more unique and private venue with an ocean view and with a hint of Italian style. When I say we delivered, WE DELIVERED! Villa Como, a private estate in Laguna Beach was the perfect backdrop for their stunning day. The venue itself was crafted in Italian marble and the backyard was STUNNING from the rose garden to the infinity pool, there was something to see in every corner!
After locking in their dream venue we got to designing (my favorite part)! Being that the venue was already breathtaking, we didn’t want to do too much since Charlotte and John really wanted the venue to WOW people and let me tell you, it did! That being said the couple wanted to go with a soft all white color palette with minimal touches of gold to give that extra glow. We did a mixture of long tables filled with florals and heavy on the candles and round tables with low lush centerpieces with again, more candles! Charlotte and John wanted to feel like their reception was an intimate gathering of their closest loved ones and it truly was. All of the guests sat under a canopy of twinkle lights and once that gorgeous sunset went down it was magical, just how the couple envisioned it! The day went smooth and Charlotte and John really got to be in the moment enjoying every part of their day which is what we planners hope for!
