I’m writing this blog post today and feeling so excited to finally share this amazing wedding day! Alexa here, and I have to say this wedding is by far the nearest and dearest to me for the year 2022 because not only was this wedding for my best friend, but I was also given the honor of being her Matron of Honor. I’ll never forget sitting down at the dining room table when Ani & Parker came to town to visit and I thought we were just going to be talking wedding details, but then she asked me to be her MOH and I just about died. I was so shocked and of course I immediately said yes, followed by a few happy tears. I was so excited to start planning with them and even more excited to take on this roll as her MOH.
The planning process was so fun and Ani and I enjoyed every minute of designing! Seeing it all come together was truly magic! All the colors were my favorite ever!! Ani & Parker got married at the lovely Rancho Valencia Resort and the venue itself is already so stunning, so it was the perfect backdrop for their bright and colorful wedding design. One very important element Ani wanted to incorporate was her Armenian heritage and of course, bringing in those Armenian traditions and formalities in their wedding ceremony. It was so beautiful and the large floral cross as the alter was such a show stopper, they still have people talking about it! It was a site to see!
More Armenian elements came into the Reception as well with traditional dances, music and professional Armenian dancers that put on such a spectacular performance during dinner service. As the sun set, the canopy of twinkle lights surrounded the entire reception space creating the most romantic lighting and the beautiful centerpieces and fun table top rentals made this reception space really pop! There were so many personal touches they incorporated that certainly didn’t get missed either, like their custom monogram, large seating display and their signature cocktails and napkins with their pride and joy, Henry on them! TOO CUTE! It was the wedding of the year and I’m so blessed I was able to be a part of it! Congratulations to my best gal and her prince! I love you both so much!
