As Sam and Kathryn’s photographer, Amy Golding put it perfectly, “Aiming for a day filled with timeless elegance and sentimentality, Sam and Kathryn wanted their wedding day to highlight the natural beauty of Laguna Beach and be focused on those that meant most to them- their family.” I couldn’t have put it better myself. Kathryn and Sam truly wanted nothing more than to celebrate two families coming together. As I watched Kathryn and her Father dance, I was reminded of just how special a wedding day is. As a planner we can get so wrapped up in ensuring every minute and detail is perfect, that we become distanced from the moments that mean the most. I have to say, I cried for the first time in a long time! There were a lot of favorites on this particular wedding day, but the number one was definitely that dance. Some other fun details, were that the wine corks holding each guests name were corks that Kathryn’s Dad saved from different family celebrations. As far as design, I don’t know if the ceremony or the head table was my favorite. The lush florals by Florals by Jenny and neutral color palate created such an inviting space at both. Guests literally ooo’d and awww’d as they walked into each space. It was so fun to see the Groom, Sam actually have an opinion too! When we were picking out the linens he was just as excited as Kathryn was and to witness that enthusiasm for something so small to most Groom’s, was so fun! I just knew they both would be on Cloud 9 when the day came. I’m going to miss this couple, their families and of course, Kathryn’s Dad! We are thrilled we have these gorgeous photos by Amy Golding to remember such an amazing wedding day celebrating such remarkable people!
