Each month the Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach showcases a variety of different vendors and allows them to show off their talents by having them create a styled tablescape for potential clients in their “WEB” (Waterfront Events Boutique). For the month of February we were asked once again to create different tablescapes and really debut some fun designs. One of our very own Event Designers, Gia Melendez spear headed the whole operation with help from a rockstar team of vendors to create a whopping four designs. One for each week of the month! Check out all of the lovely designs and learn more about Gia’s design process.
“For the first three weeks I wanted to keep the design elegant, but not so much in the traditional sense. When I think of elegant I think of white, gold, rose gold, copper; pretty much everything bright and sparkly to catch your eye! I definitely wanted to incorporate those colors, but also add in something different & unique. The linens for example, the two linens I used were from Luxe Linen. The “Cleopatra” which had the rose gold and cream color throughout, and then the “Isabelle” which was the soft white lace linen. Both made such beautiful statements and was different from the standard shantung linen that we so commonly use.”
“Each week we changed the color scheme and the florals to give it a completely different look, but still staying within that elegant theme. Coming up with the four varieties of designs was fun, and allowed me to showcase that you can portray elegance in so many other fun ways in so many areas. The velvet napkins with the acrylic escort cards, or the copper charger with a pampas grass garland were just a few combinations that spoke elegance but it’s own unique light. There are truly SO many combinations to work with, and with the vendors that we had on board – there was no way we could go wrong!”
“I loved all of these designs, but if I had to choose I really loved the last weeks’ design that we created. It was a split table featuring gold and clear on one side and black and grey on the other side! It was so much fun to be able to show two completely different looks. Everything down to the different chairs and of course the show stopping lush greenery filled bridge! All in all, it was an honor and a pleasure to be able to showcase these designs each week at one of our favorite hotels!”
